Hespa is plant dyed Icelandic wool according to the old Icelandic traditions. The name Hespa applyes to the yarn but Hespuhúsið is the open plant dyeing studio. The studio is open on request at any time. Guests are welcome to look into the dyepots and get information about the plant dyeing tradition in Iceland.  ([email protected]). Google Map: Hespa or Hespuhúsið. Drive from Reykjavík and just before you come to Selfoss you get to a roundabout and the Toyota shop. There you turn right and drive Árbæjarvegur for about 900 meters. Then you see a sign Hespuhúsið.
